Ear surgery – Otoplasty
Ear reshaping surgery, or Otoplasty, is a procedure designed to reduce large or protruding ears by setting the ears back closer to the head as well as moulding, shaping and/or removing cartilage.
A typical candidate for this procedure includes children whose ears have fully grown. This can help prevent the child from having to experience the teasing and ridicule that is associated with having larger ears. Of course, this procedure can be performed on adults as well. All incisions are small and are hidden at the back of the ear.
