For minimum needle depths Dermapen Treatments are painless. Treatments over 0.5mm deep, may require a topical anaesthetic cream to be applied for 15-40 minutes before the procedure. This will render the treatments virtually pain free.
This depends on your skin condition, desired outcomes and individual response. As a guide, we generally recommend 3-6 Dermapen session. Each session takes around 40 minutes. The skin should be prepared with tailored skin care a minimum of two weeks prior to the first treatment.
You may experience facial redness for 12-48 hours after the treatment. Most people are able to return to normal daily activities immediately after the treatment.
The Dermapen 3 has many benefits:

At Hunter Plastic Surgery, you can be confident in the expertise of the person performing your procedure. Our Cosmetic Nurses and Cosmetic Therapists perform Dermapen under the supervision of Plastic Surgeon, Dr Nicholas Moncrieff.
We understand that sometimes things change! Given the high demand for consultations, all we ask that clients give us at least 2 full working days notice (by phone – 4920 7700) if they are not going to be able to attend at their scheduled time to allow us to contact people on our wait-list to reallocate the time.
If appointments are cancelled or rescheduled by the patient with less than 2 full working days notice they will lose their $50 deposit. We reserve the right to decline requests to subsequently rebook for the same client.
